Chemanol, officially known as Methanol Chemicals Company, is a chemical manufacturer based in Al Jubail Industrial City, in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. Founded in 1989 as the Saudi Formaldehyde Chemicals Company, it was the GCC’s first private-sector petrochemicals enterprise and adopted its current name following an IPO in 2008. The business operates with an annual production capacity approaching one million metric tons and exports 14 products with 30 grades to more than 75 countries across over 21 industries. Chemanol positions itself as a highly integrated and reliable global producer of methanol and derivatives, and it runs the largest formaldehyde production facility in a single location within the GCC. Its portfolio includes methanol derivatives such as AF37, UF85, superplasticizers, UF resins, hexamethylenetetramine, paraformaldehyde, dimethylformamide, methylamines, and MMA triazine. These products serve customers in pharmaceuticals, oil and gas, fertilizers, mining, and construction, supported by a broad export footprint.
