The Centro Nacional de Análisis Genómico (CNAG) is a national, non-profit research center focused on sequencing and genomic analysis, based in Barcelona, Catalonia, within the Parc Científic de Barcelona and affiliated with the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Established in 2009 as the first national sequencing center in Europe, it conducts genomic analysis projects aimed at improving health and quality of life, collaborating with health institutions and research centers both nationally and internationally. The center leads large-scale genomics initiatives that contribute to cancer and rare disease diagnosis and treatment, and it also supports biodiversity conservation. CNAG maintains extensive computing and data storage facilities to process genomic information and holds ISO 9001:2015 quality management certification along with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 testing accreditation, plus BBMRI-ERIC recognition for its work with biological samples. Since 2014 it has been part of the national map of scientific infrastructures under OmicsTech, and in March 2025 it was named Europe’s first Certified Service Provider for Dovetail services.
