The Castleman Disease Collaborative Network (CDCN) is a Philadelphia-based, globally connected research network focused on speeding the discovery and application of treatments for Castleman disease with the aim of improving patient survival. It was founded in 2012 by Dr. David Fajgenbaum and Dr. Frits van Rhee, who brought together physicians, researchers, patients, and families to advance collaboration. The organization coordinates cross-disciplinary efforts, mobilizes resources, and targets strategic research investments while offering support to patients and their loved ones.

Castleman disease refers to a group of inflammatory conditions that can range from a single enlarged lymph node to life-threatening multi-organ involvement, and it affects an estimated 6,500 to 7,700 people in the United States each year. CDCN's networked approach aligns researchers worldwide, accelerating the translation of findings into new therapies. In March 2023, the organization launched the ROADMAP drug repurposing tool to identify existing medicines with potential applicability to Castleman disease.
