Carmarthen Domestic Abuse Services provides support and crisis accommodation for women, men, and children affected by domestic abuse, addressing physical, emotional, financial, sexual abuse, and social isolation. The organization offers a holistic, quality support and information service with multiple access points, including a drop-in information centre, a 24-hour helpline, a text service, and outreach. It operates a five-room crisis refuge with en-suite facilities and kitchenette, and provides child support, counselling, and program areas such as the Freedom Programme, alongside services for men through the Men Too initiative and a county-wide floating support scheme to sustain housing. Founded in 1978 as Carmarthen Women's Aid, the group sits within the individual and family services sector. It delivers county-wide floating support to help tenants retain housing and prevent homelessness and provides signposting to other agencies as needed. In 2021, Calan DVS partnered with Carmarthen Domestic Abuse Services to raise awareness of domestic abuse signs among professionals in the hair and beauty industry.
