California Appellate Project (San Francisco) is a non-profit organization established in 1983 by the State Bar of California to secure the constitutional right to counsel for indigent defendants facing execution. Based in San Francisco, CAP-SF operates as a legal resource center for capital appellate work, serving the largest population of condemned individuals in the United States.
