The Buckhead Community Improvement District (BCID) is a government administration entity serving the Buckhead area of Atlanta, Georgia. It aims to create and maintain a safe, accessible, and livable urban environment by directing tax dollars from commercial property within the district, along with other leveraged funds, toward improvements in the transportation network and public realm that connect people and places. BCID has partnered with engineering firms to develop and implement complete-street concepts, including Piedmont Road Complete Street, and has previously collaborated on projects such as East Paces Ferry Road Complete Street. A current focus is the Lenox Road Complete Safe Street project, intended to enhance pedestrian safety and street connectivity from the Lenox MARTA station to Piedmont Road. The district also undertakes public-safety enhancements, including patrols and surveillance measures, to support the safety of the urban environment.
