Broadway San Diego is a performing arts presenter based in San Diego, California, operating as part of the Nederlander Producing Company of America, a long-standing and experienced live-theater operator. The organization traces its origins to 1976 when it began as the San Diego Playgoers after presenting Equus at the Spreckels Theatre, later taking up residence at the San Diego Civic Theatre in 1986. In 2001 it adopted the Broadway San Diego name and expanded its seasonal programming across the venue lineup. Over its decades of operation, it has presented more than 375 shows and events.
