Blackstar Amplification Ltd is a Northampton-based designer and manufacturer of guitar amplifiers and related gear. Four of its founders are musicians, and they bring more than five decades of combined experience in guitar amplification design and production. The company maintains an independent design philosophy and aims to broaden tonal options beyond established brands through unique innovations. Its products are aimed at guitarists seeking self-expression and a wider range of tones rather than merely reproducing signature sounds. The company operates as a mid-sized specialist in musical amplification. A notable recent development is the expansion of Neural Amp Modeler support to the Beam Solo headphone amplifier, bringing NAM technology to a portable listening device.
