Fondée en 1977, Bitumar Inc. est une entreprise privée spécialisée dans la production de bitume liquide utilisé dans les mélanges d'asphalte pour le revêtement routier ainsi que pour l'industrie de la toiture.

Bitumar possède et exploite deux usines à Montréal, QC. La société possède également des usines à Baltimore, MD, via sa filiale Bitumar USA, en Géorgie soit Bitumar (Georgia) Inc. et à Hamilton, ON soit Canadian Asphalt Industries. 

Bitumar s’établit comme le chef de file en matière de distribution de bitume dans le Nord-Est américain. Pour ce faire, Bitumar a conclu des ententes importantes afin d’étendre l’entreposage de son produit et occupe des terminaux au Rhode Island, dans le Maine et au Connecticut. 

C'est grâce à ses projets d'envergure que l'on compte aujourd'hui plus de 250 employés œuvrant sur l'ensemble du réseau Bitumar.

Overview

Founded in 1977, Bitumar Inc. is a privately owned company specializing in the production of liquid bitumen used in asphalt blends for road paving as well as for the roofing industry.

Bitumar owns and operates two plants in Montreal, QC. The company also has plants in Baltimore, MD, through its subsidiary Bitumar USA, Inc., in Georgia under Bitumar (Georgia) Inc. and in Hamilton, ON under Canadian Asphalt Industries. Bitumar is establishing itself as the leader in bitumen distribution in the Northeastern United States. For this, Bitumar has entered into major agreements to expand the storage of its product and occupies terminals in Rhode Island, Maine and Connecticut.

It is thanks to its large-scale projects that there are now more than 250 employees working across the Bitumar network.
