In 1938, Orville Bitner, our founder, saw an emerging American economy. Families were buying automobiles, homes and starting businesses. He wanted to establish a business to protect his neighbors and friends from financial calamity throughout their lifetime.

Now a third generation family owned and operated insurance agency, Bitner-Henry Insurance continues to successfully provide our neighbors, our community, businesses and organizations with tools to protect their financial interests. The agency retains the core values Orville started his business with; professionalism, integrity and caring.

What started as a small insurance office operating in Maryland, now services the needs of individuals and businesses in Maryland and Pennsylvania. Our Church Insurance Programs service ministries in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, Georgia, and Delaware.

Bitner-Henry Insurance offers our clients insurance products tailored to their needs. As times change, we continue to offer new services and policies to serve our friends and community. We have been serving the community for more than 70 years and we look forward to providing insurance services throughout the future generations.
