Better Bankside is a non-profit, independent business improvement district serving Bankside in London, led and funded by local businesses with the aim of making Bankside a leading urban neighborhood. The BID area encompasses more than 620 businesses, bounded by the river to the north, Great Suffolk Street to the south, Blackfriars Road to the west, and Borough High Street to the east. Members benefit from a range of services including free recycling, a local discount card, marketing support, cycling services, and free recruitment, complemented by regular business and social events and a CSR program to foster collaboration in the community. The organization carries out projects to improve the public realm and maintains streets via wardens and cleaners, while offering opportunities to engage through theme groups or the board. In 2025, Better Bankside appointed Eleanor Holmes as sustainability manager to lead its Greener Goals for 2025-2030, underscoring its focus on urban sustainability.
