Bedford Group is a not-for-profit charity that helps people with disability pursue the lives they choose by creating employment opportunities, pathways, and supported programs. It is among the largest employers of people with disability in Australia, serving around 1,500 clients across 22 sites in South Australia. Its activities span multiple sectors, including hospitality, packaging, electronics and mattress recycling, design services, laundry, manufacturing, and horticulture, with additional regional social enterprises. Beyond direct work, Bedford provides NDIS-approved supports such as skill development and micro-enterprise assistance through its Learning and Experiences and Employment Programs. Profits from its social enterprises—Cultivate Food and Beverage, Dovetail Advanced Manufacturing, and GreenInc Landscape Construction—are reinvested to create more opportunities, and the group has operated in the community for more than 80 years, based in Adelaide, South Australia. In 2024, Bedford expanded its scope by acquiring Electronic Recycling Australia, broadening its services and employment pathways.
