Baltusrol Golf Club is a historic golf venue in New Jersey, located in Springfield near New York City. Founded in 1895 by Louis Keller, it has long been associated with championship golf. Its two championship courses, Lower and Upper, were designed by architect A. W. Tillinghast. Over its 125-year history, Baltusrol has hosted 17 major championships, including seven U.S. Opens, two U.S. Women's Opens, and two PGA Championships. In 2014 the club was designated a National Historic Landmark for its significance to Tillinghast’s career as a course designer, and it operates in the spectator sports sector with a mid-sized staff.
