Bait & Tackle was founded seven years ago in New England’s oldest fishing port, Gloucester Massachusetts. With a decade of experience working on blockbuster feature films and independent documentaries we had no real business starting an advertising agency, but a return to the East Coast came with some downtime for television. We quickly realized that something had to be done about the local ads that were flooding both cable and traditional stations. With that, Bait & Tackle was born, along with the concept of “big time advertising for a small business world.”

At first our clients were skeptical of our offering -- high-concept commercials with national-quality production on local television budgets.
But word spread once folks realized we could do this over and over again. During our first three years we produced television commercials for more small business clients than any other comparable agency in New England.

Over time, Bait & Tackle grew into what it is today, offering much more than just commercials and production (though the love affair continues). We’re wowing our clients with branding campaigns that include specialty magazines, video diaries, radio spots and more. We’re creating promotions that bring in customers in a time when others wonder if any exist.

And we continue to broaden our reach into new markets, new states. And that's just fine with us.
