American Principles Project is a Washington, D.C.-based policy organization focused on public policy solutions aligned with a view of human dignity rooted in the nation's founding principles. In its work, APP advocates for policies that protect life from conception to natural death, uphold a traditional view of marriage as between a man and a woman, defend religious liberty, and promote authentic economic progress for working Americans, along with education for comprehensive personal development and recognition of immigrant contributions. The organization pursues its aims through education, scholarship, debate, and advocacy, and seeks collaboration with others who share its principles. The organization operates with a small staff and, in February 2025, launched Funding Insanity, a database providing a detailed overview of federal spending on programs advancing far-left gender ideology under the Biden-Harris administration.
