Established in 1886, the American Fraternal Alliance is a nonprofit association that unites fraternal benefit societies operating across 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Canada. Collectively, its member societies represent about 7 million individuals, making the alliance one of the largest networks of member volunteers in the United States. Each year, members contribute substantial charitable support and time to community work, with more than 45 million hours volunteered and over $690 million directed to community programs.
