The American Chamber of Commerce in the People’s Republic of China is a non-profit, non-governmental organization serving American business interests across China. Its membership includes over 4,000 individuals from around 900 companies operating nationwide. Its mission is to support American companies in China through advocacy, information-sharing, networking, and business support services. It is the sole officially recognized chamber representing American business in mainland China. The organization maintains offices in Beijing, Tianjin, Dalian, Shenyang and Wuhan, operates more than 40 working groups, and hosts over 250 events each year. The headquarters are in Beijing, and the organization has between 51 and 200 employees.
