Based in Washington, D.C., the American Bus Association is a mid-sized trade association founded in 1926 that represents the North American private bus, group travel, and tourism industries. It unites bus operators with a network of partners—manufacturers, tour operators, destinations, attractions, hotels, destination marketing organizations, and other travel collaborators—into a single forum that supports connection and business growth. It supports member success through policy advocacy, industry research, educational programming and certifications, and cross-sector events. Members access a range of programs and services, including government relations, the ABA Foundation, marketplace events, and initiatives such as Women in Buses and the Bus Industry Safety Council. Recent activities include recognition for anti-trafficking leadership and the launch of the Survivor Scholarship by the ABA Foundation.
