ACLEDA Bank Plc. is a Cambodian banking institution organized as a public limited company with its headquarters at #61 Preah Monivong Boulevard, Phnom Penh 12201, Cambodia. It traces its origins to January 1993 when it began as a national NGO focused on micro and small enterprises development and credit, later evolving into a licensed bank. The institution began as ACLEDA Bank Limited and was licensed by the National Bank of Cambodia as a Specialised Bank on October 7, 2000, before being licensed as a Commercial Bank on December 1, 2003 and renamed ACLEDA Bank Plc. It is described as Cambodia's leading commercial bank and was the first in the country to receive an international credit rating from Standard & Poor's. The bank has pursued regional payments initiatives, including cross-border QR code payments with Laos initiated in 2023 and, in 2026, enabling UPI acceptance in Cambodia through a partnership with NPCI International, and it launched a dedicated SME lending program in 2024 that has supported over 5,000 small businesses. The company employs between 501 and 1,000 people and reported revenue in the range of $25 million to $50 million.
