A Good Read is a small, not-for-profit social enterprise based in Burnley in the North West of England, focusing on wellbeing through reading, storytelling and singing. It aims to support people by sharing narratives that help them cope with life's challenges, using small therapeutic groups. The organization collaborates with a steering group made up of beneficiaries and works across libraries, hospital wards, care homes, access points, colleges and local hospices, as well as with partners across the public, private and voluntary sectors.

It administers large publicly funded initiatives such as Get Into Reading East Lancashire and Clarets Creative, the latter helping Burnley FC fans tell their stories and build an oral history archive for the local community. The group also engages with smaller organizations and charities and has trained staff across the North West to run similar projects. To date, it has reached hundreds of people in Burnley, Pendle, Rossendale and Hyndburn who experience social isolation, delivering sessions in small therapeutic groups that emphasize mutual support.
