Yakima Valley Libraries is a public library system serving Yakima County in south-central Washington. The district operates a central library along with sixteen community libraries and serves all towns in the county except Grandview. Formed in 1945 as a junior taxing district, it is largely funded through local property taxes. The network serves more than 240,000 residents and provides access to library materials and public computer resources across its facilities. In January 2024, the library introduced a Kid's Winter Adventure Game as part of its youth programming. Its network of branches and outreach sites extends across annexed and contracted municipalities as well as rural communities, enabling access to materials and programming county-wide.
