X3D ApS is a Denmark-based medical equipment company founded in August 2023, formed from the assets and IP rights of DDD-Diagnostic A/S, focusing on service and solutions for functional imaging in nuclear medicine with a main emphasis on cardiac SPECT in North America. It operates from a 1000-square-meter headquarters in Kvistgård, Hovedstaden, about 30 minutes north of Copenhagen, housing warehouse, production, system testing facilities, and offices for R&D, procurement, and QA. The team comprises former DDD personnel with extensive experience in SPECT, nuclear medicine, and related applications, providing continuity of expertise.  

X3D collaborates with Siemens Medical Systems in the US and Philips Medical US to secure service support and lifetime extension for more than 2000 dedicated cardiac SPECT systems installed in US clinics and hospitals, originally manufactured by DDD-Diagnostic. The collaboration includes development of replacements for obsolete spare parts, upgrade programs, and repair services; it also covers service support for other former DDD-Diagnostic SPECT systems globally. In early 2024, X3D planned to broaden its scope with a branded system for the US market, including a compact cardiac SPECT platform and up-to-date acquisition PC solutions, supported by a green profile, while the Danish team aims to sustain a 30-year history of Gamma Camera and SPECT production with ongoing global market support.
