World Access Project provides wheelchairs to the indigenous disabled of Mexico, one person at a time. As people receive wheelchairs they begin to get out of their houses and become more active. As we modify their homes and make them more accessible they learn how to become part of their neighborhood and community. As we make their schools more accessible they have the ability to get an education and interact with others. As we educate the Mexican governments about the need for streets, sidewalks and businesses to be made accessible. People with disabilities become part of society, and realize they can have a better quality of life. In addition to the needs of people with physical disabilities. there are many children who have been neglected, abandoned and abused, who don't have the opportunity to get an education. We are working to provide neglected young people with a love, and an education.
