Woodfibre LNG is a privately held Canadian energy company based in Vancouver, British Columbia, that operates the Woodfibre LNG Project. The project site is located on the former Woodfibre pulp mill property, about seven kilometers southwest of Squamish, and lies on the traditional and unceded territory of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation). It represents an LNG export facility, noted for committing to net-zero emissions by 2027, a first in the LNG export sector. During construction, the project anticipates a peak workforce of more than 800 people, with over 100 long-term operating positions expected after completion. Recent developments reflect ongoing progress, including the arrival of large liquefaction modules as part of facility expansion in British Columbia.
