The Wirth Center for the Performing Arts is a nonprofit community school of the performing arts based in Rockville, Minnesota. It delivers high-quality arts education to students of all ages and abilities, focusing on studio-based instruction in the performing arts. The school operates from the education building of St. Mary's Cathedral in downtown St. Cloud and also offers piano instruction in the Twin Cities area. Founded in 1981, it is led by Artistic Director Dr. Paul Wirth, whose work centers on piano technique and the development of emerging artists. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the center notes that thirty pre-college students have had more than seventy solo performances with orchestras nationwide. The center positions itself within Minnesota's performing arts education landscape, serving a regional audience that seeks accessible, quality training beyond traditional programs.
