Westport Country Playhouse is a not-for-profit performing arts venue in Westport, Connecticut, serving as a home for live theater and a cultural landmark in the region. Founded in 1931, the organization began as a Broadway-quality stage housed in an 1830s tannery and was renovated in 2005 to become a year-round producing theater while preserving its historic charm. Today, it presents quality productions of new works and classic plays to engage a diverse audience of theater lovers, artists, and students.

In addition to its main-season program, the Playhouse acts as a community resource by offering educational programming and workshops, a children's theater series, symposiums, music, films and readings. Under the leadership of artistic director Mark Shanahan and managing director Beth Huisking, the company has produced more than 700 plays, 36 of which later transferred to Broadway. Recent activity includes participation in Connecticut Open House Day in June 2025 and the launch of a classic film series in May 2025.
