West Central Equipment is a 5 location John Deere Dealer in Western and Central Pennsylvania.  Our passion is supporting those whom work with the land be it the homeowner, commercial mower, farmer, or government employee and beyond.  At West Central Equipment our experienced and professional staff know how to help provide equipment solutions to all of your tasks. And just-as importantly, we have unrivaled parts and service support after the sale to keep your equipment running at peak performance. 
Our relationship with John Deere dates back to 1938, when Fred J. Slezak started a dealership in New Alexandria, in the basement of a chicken coop. In 1976 after a period of being closed his son Frederick restarted the business, creating Lone Maple Sales & Service, Inc. – which is now our New Alexandria location. Frederick’s son and current President, David took over in 1980 and ran the single location until 2007 when he partnered with Joel Wineland and Rodney Metzler of Wineland Equipment, another long standing John Deere Dealer to form West Central Equipment.  Two years later in 2009 Scheffel Equipment in Somerset was acquired. Then four years later in 2013 we opened our Butler location. We are proud to announce that as of April of 2017 we have opened our 5th location in Ebensburg.  Our 5 locations serve 18 counties in Pennsylvania, Northern Maryland and West Virginia.
