WellPet Humane works to relieve animal pain and suffering by operating low-cost veterinary medical programs targeting indigent animals and low-income owners. These programs work to align the pet population with good homes through spay and neuter, provide veterinary services for animals owned by people who are struggling financially, in pain and in need of critical medical assistance and offer humane education that strengthens the human/animal bond. We dream that one day no pet will be a victim of “Economic Euthanasia.” We are Metro Atlanta’s charity veterinary medical clinic. George Angell, one of the early founders of the humane movement in America – ‘Why do you spend so much of your time and money talking about kindness to animals when there is so much cruelty to people?’ His answer: ‘I am working at the roots.’ WellPet Human is the first facility in Atlanta that is devoted to the veterinary care of animals owned by people who are financially struggling. We are to animals what Grady is to human health care. The people who come to WellPet usually have nowhere else to go for veterinary care for their beloved pet. Now they do. Welcome to WellPet Humane!
