Watson Institute is a mid-sized higher education organization based in Boulder, Colorado, that develops entrepreneurial leadership through tailored Fellowships. The program supports diverse, promising rising leaders by combining entrepreneurship and leadership training with committed mentorship, coaching, a practical playbook, and a stipend, along with long-term alumni support and access to a global network of peers and opportunities. The Fellowships are designed to advance the ventures of each Fellow and align with the strategic goals of corporate and foundation partners. Participants are rising entrepreneurial leaders from diverse backgrounds, and the Institute collaborates with a network of corporate and foundation sponsors to extend its reach. The program is projected to impact approximately 2,800 rising leaders in 2024-2025 through partnerships with Ford Motor Company Fund, Comcast, Google, Western Union Foundation, Truist Foundation, BMO, and several private foundations. In April 2024, Watson Institute partnered with Urban Institute and hosted a two-day symposium, Punishment Beyond Mass Incarceration.
