Washington State University Spokane is the university’s urban health sciences campus, located on the east end of downtown Spokane in Washington. It educates future physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other health professionals and conducts research aimed at improving the health of people and communities. It is affiliated with the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine and serves students and health-care professionals as its primary audience. A recent collaboration with TriState Health plans to establish a Family Medicine Residency Program to expand primary care training, with emphasis on rural areas where shortages are most acute.
