Our History In 1934, Voss Equipment was founded by Peter Voss, Sr. and opened its first location in Harvey, Illinois. Since then, Voss Equipment has partnered will Yale Equipment and other industry-leading manufacturers to support the material handling needs of Chicagoland businesses. A True Family-Owned Business Peter Voss Jr. joined the company in 1961 after serving three years as a United States Marine Corp officer. In 1980, after learning the ropes from his father, he became the president of the company. Peter Voss III joined the company in 1990. Today, Peter Voss Jr. is Voss Equipment’s chairman and CEO and his son, Peter Voss III serves as the company’s president.
