Visitation Catholic School is a Catholic pre-K through 8th-grade school located in Chicago, Illinois, serving the Englewood and Back of the Yards communities since 1891. Operating within the religious institutions sector, the school relies on support from generous donors and the broader community. The school places emphasis on collaboration and durable relationships among students, parents, teachers, local residents, and the church as a core aspect of its ministry. The educational mission centers on Catholic education's threefold purpose: to teach doctrine, to build community, and to serve. Students are educated in a holistic environment intended to develop intellectual competence, moral and spiritual understanding, and emotional health in relation to God, information, and each other. The institution seeks to foster a culture of learning, peace, justice, and personal holiness within a compassionate, service-oriented community.
