The Virginia Conservation Network (VCN) is a Virginia-based collaborative organization that evolved from the Conservation Council of Virginia, founded in 1969. It functions as a facilitator and resource for more than 120 Network Partners across the Commonwealth, aiming to coordinate conservation work and strengthen Virginia's environmental community. VCN maintains a visible presence in the state capital and seeks to ensure that the conservation community presents a single, coordinated voice, while also serving as the Virginia affiliate of the National Wildlife Federation.

The organization is based in Richmond and operates as a small, mission-driven entity focused on protecting natural resources today and for tomorrow. Its Network Partners address a broad range of topics—from stream restoration and transportation reform to renewable energy advancement and sustainable community growth—organized into Healthy Rivers, Clean Energy, and Green Communities. Recent activity includes releasing Its Common Agenda in September 2024 and the accompanying 2025 Environmental Briefing Book, reflecting broad collaboration across more than 170 organizations, 99 environmental experts, and 49 priorities.
