Village Exchange Center is a community hub in Aurora, Colorado that collaborates with refugee, immigrant, and local programs to support integrative efforts within diverse communities. Located at 1609 Havana Street, the center provides space for programs and for community celebrations of religious and cultural diversity, aiming to foster connections between newcomers and existing community networks. The organization functions within the civic and social sector, positioning itself as a bridge between the faith community of St. Matthew Lutheran Church and the broader Aurora area to address shared social needs. Founded in 2016 and arising from the church’s concern for neighborhood responsiveness, the center formalized its presence with the donation of its building and grounds in 2017 to serve as a lasting community resource. The center’s activities are anchored in facilitating collaboration among critical programs and offering a venue that supports inclusive engagement for residents and immigrant communities in the region.
