Veteran Business Project is a Chicago-based nonprofit organization founded as a 501(c)(3) by Lynn Lowder and Dale Eisenberg. The group focuses on helping military veterans become business owners by facilitating matchmaking between veterans seeking to purchase a business and existing business owners looking to sell, emphasizing taking over established, profitable ventures rather than starting from scratch. Its services aim to provide hope and practical pathways to entrepreneurship, with the organization highlighting the impact on veterans and their families. In addition to its core matchmaking model, VBP has pursued collaborations and geographic expansion, including a recent move of its headquarters to Naperville, Illinois, and a forthcoming international location anticipated in Haiti. The organization operates within the nonprofit sector and centers its mission on enabling veteran entrepreneurship and access to public contracting opportunities through partnerships such as certification assistance programs.
