UWC-USA is part of an international network of two-year residential pre-university schools that offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma, aiming to unite people and cultures for peace and a sustainable future. Based in Montezuma, New Mexico, the campus serves students aged 16 to 19, with a mix of international and U.S. students, and centers on providing a rigorous IB curriculum within a residential setting. The organization holds accreditation from ISAS and IBO and participates in NAIS, reflecting its alignment with established education standards. In recent years, UWC-USA has pursued collaborative initiatives, such as a partnership with New Mexico Highlands University to support community services, while continuing its leadership role within the UWC movement. The school was founded in 1982 through the philanthropy of Dr. Armand Hammer and operates as part of a global mission to foster cross-cultural understanding through education.
