The U.S.-India Business Council (USIBC) is an organization formed in 1975 at the request of the U.S. and Indian governments to support U.S.-India commercial ties. It comprises more than 200 member companies from both countries and operates as an industry advocate within the U.S.–India corridor. The council seeks to create an inclusive bilateral trade environment by linking government policy with business interests and supporting long-term partnerships that foster entrepreneurship and job creation. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., USIBC is positioned in the international trade and development sector. In early 2024 it established an AI Task Force as part of its program to address evolving industry priorities.
