USATF Southern California serves as the local governing body for USA Track & Field in Southern California. It administers services to support and promote cross country, mountain-ultra-trail, race walking, road running, and track & field across counties including Inyo, Los Angeles, Mono, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Santa Barbara, and Ventura. As a service organization, it designs and runs programs to create opportunities for athletes of all ages to participate; its membership includes athletes, coaches, clubs, officials, colleges and universities, and other organizations. It protects the interests and eligibility of member-athletes and establishes competition rules at local and national levels. The organization operates on a volunteer basis and is based in Cerritos, California.
