Based in London, the US-UK Fulbright Commission operates in the higher education sector to foster mutual cultural understanding through educational exchange between the United States and the United Kingdom. The organization administers two core offerings: a Fulbright Awards Programme that funds US or UK citizens to study, lecture, or conduct research in either country, and the Fulbright Advisory Service, part of the EducationUSA network, which guides UK students and other applicants through the American university admissions process via the advising website at www.fulbright.org.uk and related events. Its programs are aimed at individuals seeking cross-border academic opportunities, providing structured pathways for scholarly study and professional exchange. A notable recent development is the 2022 launch of the Global Challenges Teaching Award, which emphasizes collaboration and dialogue around global issues within the organization's activities. The Commission operates from London with a mid-sized team, reflecting its role as a specialized provider at the intersection of education and international exchange.
