US-CERT is a United States–based government entity within the computer and network security field. It leads and coordinates efforts to strengthen the nation’s cybersecurity posture, supports cyber information sharing, and helps manage cyber risks to national assets. The office analyzes threats and vulnerabilities, issues threat warnings, and partners with other organizations to develop a shared understanding of the nation’s critical infrastructure. It provides response and recovery support for national assets and advises on cybersecurity policy and guidance at the national level. With a small, dedicated team, US-CERT collaborates with agencies and external partners, and recent work includes malware analysis reporting produced in collaboration with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency and the Cyber National Mission Force.
