Uromedica, Inc. is a Plymouth, Minnesota-based medical device company that has developed long-term implantable balloon therapies for treating stress urinary incontinence in both men and women. The balloons are implanted on either side of the bladder neck, require no patient manipulation, and can be adjusted post-operatively via a subcutaneous port after a roughly 30-minute procedure. 

The devices have been implanted in more than 16,000 patients worldwide, with favorable results, and can be removed during a brief office visit if needed. Regulatory status includes FDA approval of ProACT for sale in the United States in November 2015, while ACT is not for sale in the United States; the company began an FDA Investigational Device Exemption trial for ACT in March 2021 to evaluate its safety and efficacy for female SUI.
