Urban Axes operates an indoor competitive axe-throwing venue in Philadelphia, offering a social, experiential form of entertainment centered on throwing axes. The venue targets individuals planning celebrations such as bachelor/bachelorette parties and birthdays, as well as groups seeking team-building experiences, and it runs eight-week leagues for ongoing competition. As part of the Recreational Facilities industry, it provides a venue for casual nights out with friends while enabling structured, competitive play.

Based in Philadelphia, the company has historically expanded to other markets, including Baltimore and Somerville, and announced a location in the United Kingdom on Foster Street in 2018. A 2023 development involves creating a new scoring format for select events at major tournaments, signaling ongoing format innovation in its events.
