Ur-Energy is a U.S.-based uranium mining company that concentrates on in-situ recovery (ISR) projects, engaging in identifying, acquiring, exploring, developing, and operating uranium assets. It owns and operates the Lost Creek ISR facility in south-central Wyoming, which has produced more than 3 million pounds of U3O8 since production began in 2013, with licenses permitting up to 2.2 million pounds annually (up to 1.2 million pounds from the wellfield and up to 1.0 million pounds via toll processing). Its second ISR project, Shirley Basin in Carbon County, Wyoming, is fully licensed and permitted and nearing completion, positioning it to become the fifth ISR operation in the United States; the project hosts about 8.8 million pounds of measured and indicated mineral resources expressed as eU3O8, providing a multi-year production base. The company is headquartered in Casper, Wyoming, with a Colorado office in Littleton and a registered office in Ottawa, Ontario.
