Upstart Crow Studios believes every child needs to develop a deep sense of self-esteem, to become a critical thinker and to understand the value of teamwork, as essential life skills. Upstart Crow Studios role in the community is to address these critical factors in the creative and academic development of young people. Our response to this need is to use theatre arts as a learning tool. In an environment where every child plays a role, regardless of the challenges they may face, Upstart Crow gives children an opportunity to learn these life skills as they work with professionals in dance, theatre and music.
Upstart Crow Studios fills the fundamental learning gap created by the severe reduction of school arts programs but also serves as an alternative to traditional theatre programs for families seeking a successful theatre experience for their child.
