The Université de Strasbourg is a major public research university based in Strasbourg, Grand Est, France. It operates across four principal campuses within the Strasbourg urban community and offers education and research across four sectors recognized by the Education Code: legal, economic and management disciplines; humanities and social sciences; sciences and technologies; and health sciences. The institution serves about 40,000 students, including roughly 21% international students, and it employs a large staff. Its history reflects a Franco-German cultural blend and a tradition of openness, having hosted 17 Nobel laureates over time. In recent years, Université de Strasbourg has pursued international partnerships and joint programs to broaden its academic and research scope. A notable development is the May 2026 agreement with Adam Mickiewicz University Poznań and the University of Southern Denmark to establish a triple master's degree program in European Geopolitics, International Security and Law.
