Trapil is a French pipeline operator established by the government in 1950 to build and manage a system that moves refined petroleum products from the Basse-Seine region to the Paris area, ensuring supply to major cities and airports. It operates three multi-product pipelines in France: the Le Havre–Paris line it owns; the Mediterranean Rhone line; and the NATO pipelines in France. Together, these pipelines transport about 35 million tons of refined products between refineries, port terminals, and depots near large cities, supplying car fuel, jet fuel, and domestic fuels, with more than half of French consumption conveyed through the networks; the system includes about 4,700 kilometers of main lines, 850,000 cubic meters of tank farms, and 160 pumping and delivery facilities. Based in Paris, Île-de-France, Trapil has operated its network for more than six decades with a dedicated technical department. The company offers a range of pipeline-focused services, including engineering and construction, integrity and inspection, quality and measuring, as well as consulting and audits.
