Trailhead Exploration, LLC is an independent oil and gas exploration company based in Fort Worth, Texas. The firm engages in acquiring oil and gas leases, mineral and royalty rights, and working interests in proven and emerging plays across the Mid-Continent, Permian Basin, and Rocky Mountains, focusing on opportunities within those regions. Its market consists of partners and clients seeking ownership interests or access to hydrocarbons through lease acquisitions and rights rather than operating the entirety of the production process. Positioned in the upstream sector of the oil and gas industry, the company states its headquarters in Fort Worth and describes itself as independent in its exploration activities. A notable recent development involves leadership changes with the departure of the chief executive officer and a senior exploration executive in March 2020, which corresponded with a significant reaction in its stock market history.
