Toyota Argentina, founded in 1997, is the Argentine arm of Toyota Motor Corporation and the country's first production plant of Japanese origin. Its Zárate facility in the Buenos Aires Province produces Hilux and SW4, which are exported to most Latin American markets. The company also imports and markets models produced in Brazil—including Etios and Corolla—as well as RAV4, Camry, Land Cruiser Prado, Land Cruiser 200, Toyota 86 and Prius. Based in Buenos Aires, the business operates in the motor vehicle manufacturing sector by combining local production with import and distribution to serve Latin American customers. Guided by the Toyota Way, it emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and respect for people alongside environmental responsibility. Through a corporate citizenship program, Toyota Argentina engages with civil society organizations, public institutions, and its value-chain partners—suppliers and distributors—to support local development.
