TKH DESIGN is a family-owned manufacturer of floor cleaning equipment dedicated to helping customers cut their maintenance time and costs by offering a more effective, environmentally safe cleaning alternative.

The idea for Courtclean® goes back more than 50 years. While playing high school basketball, the first thing I would do when I went onto the floor was to shuffle my feet to see how slippery it was. More often than not, the floor was sandy, slippery and overall poorly maintained.

By 1992, when my son was a sophomore playing on his High School Basketball team, I noticed that nothing had changed since my playing days. That went for the way they were trying to clean the floors as well. Still wrapping wet towels around dust mops and struggling to push them up and down the floor wasting time and energy. When they were finished the floors were just as slippery as they were before.

It was at this time that I decided to put my idea into action and solve this problem for good. I made the first Courtclean® with the sole intention of improving the conditions and the quality of my son’s school basketball program. We soon found that not only were floors squeaky clean for games, using it as a daily floor maintenance tool created better practices and improved training. Soon other schools in the area were asking for their own Courtclean®. Today, our products are being used in NBA arenas, Universities, Colleges, and High Schools across the United States and around the world.
