Tibah Airports Operation Co. runs Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah, Saudi Arabia, delivering airport operations to support the travel and cargo needs of pilgrims and other travelers in the region. The project exemplifies Saudi Arabia’s use of private-sector participation to modernize aviation infrastructure and expand capacity under a long‑term concession. A Build, Transfer, and Operate agreement with the General Authority of Civil Aviation was signed in 2011, establishing Tibah’s role as the first PPP airport project in the Kingdom. The modernization included a substantial expansion completed with a three-level terminal that covers about 156,940 square meters and accommodates 16 aircraft stands with boarding bridges. In 2026, Saudia Cargo announced a partnership with Tibah Airports Operation Company to strengthen logistics operations and support export growth at Madinah Airport.
